What is the difference between an invoice, quote, and estimate?

An estimate is a rough price when the final cost might change. A quote is a clear price for the customer to approve. An invoice is a request for payment.

Where is my data saved?

If you are signed out, your documents and settings are saved on your device using your browser's localStorage. If you are signed in, they are also synced to our hosted database so they are available across your devices.

Can I use this without signing in?

Yes. Invoicily works without an account, and your documents are stored locally in your browser. Signing in is optional and syncs your documents across your devices.

What happens if I clear my browser storage?

Clearing your browser data affects documents saved while signed out — they may be removed. If you are signed in, your documents are synced to our database and remain available when you sign back in. Print or save important documents as PDFs to keep a copy.

Can I print or save as PDF?

Yes. Use the Print / PDF action and choose 'Save as PDF' in your browser's print dialog for a clean, professional document.

Can I add tax or GST?

Yes. You can turn tax on or off, and choose a tax type such as GST, VAT, or sales tax with your own rate.

Can I add discounts?

Yes. You can add discounts to individual line items or to the whole document.

Can I convert a quote or estimate to an invoice?

Yes. You can convert a quote or estimate into an invoice in one click while keeping the original document.
